As the Managing Partner of Sales Training Experts I am the project lead to a dedicated group of consultants, coaches and trainers who provide exceptional service to our clients. As CEO, I am building partnerships, and finding talented people who share my passion to expand our national brand. With our growing list of client's across Canada, I am committed to train, mentor and build our team of sales performance consultants to meet the demand for our services.
As Board Chair, I am responsible:
To provide the board meaningful information to assist in strategic discussions.
To facilitate rich discussions and provide operational feedback.
To take action when required by creating operational plans with defined timelines and outcomes.
Matthew Nicolle, MBA, CSL, CSP
Matthew Nicolle is a top-performing sales leader with extensive experience spanning enterprise, public sector, inside sales, and retail over the last 20 years. As Director of Sales at Vision Critical, Matthew is responsible for driving [regional/global] sales of [customer engagement solutions] with a focus on consumer branded and healthcare client bases. Prior to joining Vision Critical, he headed up the business development function at the University of Fredericton where he was also an advisor and contributor to the development of Canada’s First MBA program to offer a concentration in Sales Manager and Leadership. He has held senior enterprise roles with Xerox, TELUS and Bell, winning several sales accolades including multiple Presidents’ Clubs, high achiever groups, and awards for sales management & leadership. He has managed several sales teams in multiple market segments SMB, Public Sector, and Large Account Sales.
Matthew is certified in many sales methodologies, including Holden International, SPIN Selling, Sandler Systems, DEI Management Group, and Challenger. He recently received his CSL (Certified Sales Leader) designation from the Canadian Professional Sales Association being among a select few sales leaders from across Canada to hold this credential. He also holds the CSP designation with distinction. Matthew has an MBA with a concentration in General Management from the University of New Brunswick.
Heather Angel, M.ED, PCC, ICD.D

As a strategic thinking partner I navigate complex business challenges and new sales leadership direction for my clients.
As Partner and Project leader, I work with a dedicated team of professionals to deliver an exceptional client experience. Whether facilitating programs, leading service projects or coaching clients, I ensure we deliver sales performance best practices.
James McPhedran , ICD.D
James is currently a Supervisory Board Director for Maduro & Curiel’s Bank (Curacao), where he provides oversight and guidance to the CEO and management across the Caribbean. He is also a Board Member for St Michael`s Hospital Foundation, UNICEF Canada and the Toronto Region Board of Trade. In 2018 he joined McKinsey & Company as a Senior Advisor, providing executive direction to clients in North America, Europe and Australia.
Prior to these roles, James was Executive Vice-President, Canadian Banking at Scotiabank, responsible for all Retail Distribution Businesses including Branch Banking, Contact Centres (Canada, Mexico, Colombia), Digital Banking, Small Business Banking, Insurance Canada, and Customer Experience/Omni Channel Strategy. Here he provided leadership across several business lines and distribution channels encompassing over 12,000 employees and $2B net income annually.
This mandate also encompassed Tangerine, Canada’s largest and most successful digital bank and one of the most recognized digital banks in the world.
James began his career at American Express, where he progressed through a series of positions at Amex Canada in product management, card marketing, customer experience design, loyalty programs and advertising. Highlights here included the launch of “Front of the Line” and the “Membership Rewards Program” which continue today as leading loyalty programs for Amex globally.
With his diverse experience and high energy approach, James continues to be engaged in Board Governance and Senior Advisory mandates in both Corporate and Not-for-Profit sectors.
Brent Blizzard, MBA
Brent has in excess of 25 years of energy experience, holding increasingly senior leadership positions within Irving Oil. Brent currently leads sales in Irving Oil's delivered energy business as well is responsible for the sales governance and continuous improvement of Irving Oil's CRM application across all sales and marketing business'.
Brent holds a BA from St. Thomas and an MBA from the Universite de Moncton. Brent lives with his wife and two daughters in beautiful Rothesay New Brunswick.
James is an experienced educator, executive coach and instructor who is passionate about working with business and technology partners to create human-centric experiences. James’ background as a senior manager with more than 21 years of sales management and marketing experience enables him to recognize promise in people and businesses.
James is a professor of Management Studies in the Faculty of Business at George Brown College. James holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from McMaster University, a Master of Art in Leadership from Royal Roads University and is a graduate of the Co-Active Coaching Program at the Coaches Training Institute. James is working towards his Certified Sales Leader designation from the Canadian Professional Sales Association. He is a Certified CPSA Trainer.
